Yesterday, the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) overruled a federal judge who had declared the Mojave Desert Cross unconstitutional. This cross, erected more than 75 years ago, on land ceded by the US Gob'mint to make sure that there were no constitutional problems... has been encased in plywood for several years - so that it didn't offend Madeline Murry O'Hares cuzzins and fellow travelers.........

Arizona's new illegal immigration law is a pussy-cat compared to Mexico's laws!

Most folks are aware of the strict laws that Mexico enforces should any unwarned foreigner have the temerity to illegally enter their country. However during all this Limousine Liberal hand wringing and crying into silk handkerchiefs caused by Arizona's recent attempt to establish it's sovereignty, many have lost track of the facts.

The ministry said the warning is directed toward Mexicans living, studying or planning to travel to the southwestern U.S. state, which shares a border with northern Mexico, according to the e-mailed statement sent today. It comes as members of U.S. President Barack Obama’s administration said they have concerns about the new law and may seek to overturn it in court.

“There is an adverse political environment for migrant communities and all Mexican visitors,” Mexico’s ministry said. “It’s important to act carefully and respect the local laws.”

The Arizona law makes it a state crime to be in the U.S. without proper documentation. The state has an estimated 460,000 residents living there illegally, the seventh highest total in the country, according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Opponents say it will lead to discrimination and racial profiling by law enforcement authorities.

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, who is running for re- election, signed the bill into law on April 23, saying it would address problems of violence along the border with Mexico and crime due to illegal immigration while protecting individual rights.

‘Murderous Greed’

“We cannot sacrifice our safety to the murderous greed of drug cartels,” Brewer said. “We cannot delay while the destruction happening south of our international border creeps its way north.” [,,,,]

So, like I asked up above.......... if there is supposed to be something negative in this news item, I'm not seeing it! Whee Doggies --- isn't the purpose of the law to discourage those illegals (I repeat - ILLEGALS!) from even coming into the State?

A Bavarian man was given a persuasive lesson in the fallibility of technology Thursday night when he crashed into another car and injured an 11-year-old boy after obeying his car navigation device's command to turn around on a divided autobahn.

Amazingly, the man, 45, took a U-turn on the divided motorway and began driving down the wrong side because the satellite navigation computer told him to turn around, police said in a statement.

The bizarre drama began when the man got onto the wrong motorway at the intersection at Osnabrück Süd in Lower Saxony.

Alerting him of his mistake, the navigation system promptly told him to turn around, which he did, sending him back in the direction from which he’d come, and into an oncoming car.

The 43-year-old man driving the other car was unable to stop, despite slamming on his brakes, and the cars collided. The second man’s son, 11, sustained minor injuries in the accident.

George Will has an outstanding column this week in which he describes and praises a American hero, born of Japanese immigrant parents, who has every right to hate this country for what it did to his parents during WWII, and how he was treated in his youth.

I won't repeat the column, but I sure recommend it, link it and hope you'll take a minute. We are surrounded by 5th & 6th generation native born Americans who still spend their days whining about all that is owed to them...... and try to rationalize their lack of success. Encouraged of course, by the extortionist, freeloaders who call themselves 'Protectors' of the downtrodden........ Humbug! Reverse racism, just like that feller in Washington is trying to ply right now!!!

I guess if you wake up everyday to your Mom, your teacher, your preacher, your peers and the Limousine Liberals telling you a loser and a failure ---- you end up playing the role!

Earth Day? Mirth Day!!!

As all you folks well know, last Thursday was the 40th Anniversary of 'Earth Day'. In celebration of such an event, Obamanation and his personal court jester, Joltin' Joe Biden, flew three 747's the 250 miles from DC to New York, tying up air traffic, closing air space, a fleet of limo's & SUV's. consuming a gazillion gallons of jet fuel and leaving a Carbon Footprint behind that makes the Yenti's foot print look like Cinderella's.

This travel was necessary of course, so that the White House TOTUS could say, 'In the four decades since the first Earth Day, millions of Americans have heeded the call and joined together to protect the planet we share.' (or something close to those words). And then he was off in a cloud of contrails, back to the golf courses of Andrews AFB.

God forbid, he had just stood in the Rose Garden and read those words somebody wrote, and the TOTUS spoke. I wasn't sure exactly how to express my disgust for this phony baloney community organizer's idea of an Earth Day celebration ....... and then I came across Humberto Fontova's column in TownHall.com.

He not only nails the topic, he skewers the president, the elitists of the Sierra Club, the tofu chomping tree huggers, and the green weanie hand wringers as well....... all with a great sense of humor.

Dear Employees:

As the CEO of this organization, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barrack Hussein Obama is our President and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way.

To compensate for these increases, our prices would have to increase by about ten (10) %. But since we cannot increase our prices right now due to the dismal state of the economy, we will have to lay off sixty of our employees instead.

This has really been bothering me since I believe we are family here, and I didn't know how to choose who would have to go.

So, this is what I did. I walked through our parking lots and found sixty 'Obama' bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks will be the ones to let go. I can't think of a more fair way to approach this problem. They voted for change...... I gave it to them.

I will see the rest of you at the annual company picnic.

Baghdad - A Navy courts martial today found the first of the three SEALS being tried for punching an Arab terrorist that killed four Blackwater guards (two of which were ex-SEALS), NOT GUILTY and acquitted him of all charges!

There were only two witness testifying against him, the terrorist (who still hasn't been tried for killing the four Americans) and a regular navy non-SEAL petty officer. The Courts martial panel found no evidence of any beating being administered.

Be interesting to see if the Navy will 'man up' and drop the charges against the other two - or continue with this dumber'n dirt prosecution. All three SEALS were offered "Administrative Punishment' (Captains Mast) and all three declined and demanded a Courts Martial where, if found guilty, the punishment could be much greater!!

Good on ya' Guys!!! I hope those Perfumed Princes in the Pentagon get dirt on their stars!!!!

Vacationing a human right, EU Chief says

The European Union has declared travelling a human right, and is launching a scheme to subsidize vacations with taxpayers' dollars for those too poor to afford their own trips.

Antonio Tajani, the European Union commissioner for enterprise and industry, proposed a strategy that could cost European taxpayers hundreds of millions of euros a year, The Times of London reports.

"Travelling for tourism today is a right. The way we spend our holidays is a formidable indicator of our quality of life," Mr. Tajani told a group of ministers at The European Tourism Stakeholders Conference in Madrid on April 15. Mr. Tajani was appointed to his post by Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.

The plan -- just who gets to enjoy the travel package has yet to be determined -- would see taxpayers footing some of the vacation bill for seniors, youths between the ages of 18 and 25, disabled people, and families facing "difficult social, financial or personal" circumstances. The disabled and elderly can also be accompanied by one other person. The EU and its taxpayers are slated to fund 30% of the cost of these tours, which could range from youth exploring abandoned factories and power plants in Manchester to retirees taking discount trips to Madrid, all in the name of cultural appreciation.

"The commission is literally considering paying people to go on holiday," Mats Persson, of pro-reform think-tank Open Europe, told Britain's News of the World. "In this economic climate, it's astonishing that the EU wants to bribe people with cheap holidays."

Mr. Tajani said the program will be piloted until 2013, and then fully launched.

Intended to instill a sense of cultural pride in Europeans, Mr. Tajani's human-rights travel will also help bridge the continent's north-south divide and pad resorts' business in their off-season, the Times reports.

Northern Europeans will be encouraged to visit southern Europe, and vice versa. Mr. Tajani wants to ensure people's "right to be tourists" remains intact.

However, I do have a couple of comments:

1. I think either God or Mother Nature has a great sense of humor and pulls stuff like this every now and then just to let the air out of the political windbags that think that man can change the planet.

2. I wouldn't want to be Iceland's Minister of Finance when he gets the Carbon Credit bill from Al Gorebot and his cabal. But I'd like to be on hand when they tell Al where to stick his bill, something about 'out of the sunshine'!

3. I can picture a thousand tort lawyers that specialize in class action law suits, frothing at the mouth trying to figger out who the defendants are gonna be when they round up all the damaged 'plaintiffs'! (both health-wise and financially)(actual and fictitious)

I opened TownHall.com up this morning and the first item to catch my eye was entitled: "Ex-mentor: Sharpton is Obama's link to the streets". The mentor is Charles Ogletree, Harvard Law professor and friend of Obamanation. The quote at a Black (money raising) Pity Party conference was:

"Al Sharpton has become the lightning rod in moving Obama's agenda forward," Ogletree told the AP, describing Sharpton as a conduit between the disadvantaged and powerful leaders. "And he has access to both the streets and the suites, to make sure that the people who are voiceless, faceless and powerless finally have some say."

In my ole' head, Al (Sharpie) Sharpton is as 'close to the streets' as Jerimiah (God Damn America)Wright is to the Bible.

The annual cost of Sharpie's haircuts and suits could feed an entire housing project's tenants for that same year!

Instead of all these Reality Shows on TV, they ought to put two folks like Sharpton and Sen Chuck Schumer on a stage - equidistant from a mike and a TV Camera - and let them battle it out for possession!

I'm sure you Pilgrims have heard news reports the last few days that a couple of American Millionaires are complaining that they aren't required to pay 'enough taxes'! They come out of their gold lined sewers about this time every year when us 'little' people are struggling with our tax return.

When I hear crapola (pardon me for using technical jargon) like that, two things come to mind --

1. Why don't they just write a check to the IRS for that higher amount they want to pay and shut up?

2. What's the real agenda behind these limousine liberals press releases?

So then I surf a little and come up with articles like this from Money Central.

"MarketWatch columnist Al Lewis said the millionaires have “signed the ‘Responsible Wealth Tax Fairness Pledge,’ vowing to give at least some of their Bush tax savings to organizations that oppose the Bush tax cuts, or work for social or economic justice.”

Which tells me, that they aren't sending any additional money to the Gob'mint. Instead they are sending (tax deductible?) donations to organizations that "work for social & economic justice"!

Social Justice being of course, socialist codewords for redistributing the wealth - take from the wealthy that earned their money and give it to those who sit on their ass and whine!!!

National Tax Freedom Day (the theoretical date that all of the nations wage earners have earned enough to pay the national tax bills) was last Friday, April 9th. That's right, folks, those first 99 days of labor were all for the Gob'mints benefit!

Now we get to celebrate it's evil twin's birthday - April 15th, tomorrow - the date all that money is due in the hands of the IRS! What fun!

Keep in mind now, Pardners, that Tax Freedom Day is just the date that we have 'theoretically' earned enough to pay the tax bill............. it durned sure ain't the day that we have 'theoretically' earned enough to pay the total expenses of the money the Gob'mint been throwin' around this year--- most of those bills are being left for our grand kids to pay!!

If we had to own up to that day - it would more'n likely be around the 4th of July or even Labor Day in September!!

Shame on the Dim Dem National Party.....

Apparently the main stream Liberals/Socialists/Democrats (pick one) have become so concerned with the grass roots growth of the Tea Party Gatherings, that they are publicly advertising for ways and fellow idiot Dims to subvert the conservative movement.

Right out of Saul Alinsky's Rules, they are prepared to "Crash the Tea Parties" and....

Encourage Dim fellow travelers to "infiltrate the Tea party itself! [....] Whenever possible, we will act on behalf of the Tea Party in ways which exaggerate their least appealing qualities (misspelled protest signs, wild claims in TV interviews, etc) further distance them from mainstream America and damage the public's opinion of them."

They have already started this truly un-American process. They don't have a platform of their own that is worth selling or that the American public is buying...... so, let's just sabotage the Conservative's movement!

How lame is that? How Chicago community organizer like? How Moveon.org like!!

Shame on them.....!! What remains to be seen is if the main stream media will do their homework and check their sources before they start reporting such activities at a Tea Party Rally! Why don't you each watch your local news outfits and keep them honest!

I read an interesting column the other day by Dennis Prager, conservative radio talk show host and columnist. In it, he set forth an interesting premise.... If I can find it again, I'll link it below.

Bottom line, the words Political Correctness (PC) are really a misnomer. Since almost all current Politically Incorrect words and deeds only offend one segment of our population, perhaps the term should be changed to it's more accurate acronym, OTL, or Offends The Left!

When you stop and think of all of those phrases and ideas that are deemed as not being Politically Correct, the pattern is obvious. The words 'In God we Trust', offends who? The Cross out in the middle of the desert memorializing veterans.... offends who?

A silent prayer in school, offends what group? The American Flag? The ROTC program? The National Anthem? Corporate profits? State's rights? The list is endless..... and they all lead to the same conclusion -- the only ones offended are the liberal elites!

So, who knows - maybe we could more clearly label PC by re-branding it.... OTL!!!

A grieving father’s victory over political correctness

On Oct.12, 2000, the USS Cole, a Navy destroyer, was in the process of refueling at the port of Aden in Yemen. As unsuspecting crew members were preparing to have lunch, a small craft, manned by terrorists and armed with an estimated 1,000 pounds of explosives, approached the Cole.

The ensuing explosion killed 17 American sailors and injured 39 others.

The following year, footage of the suicide bombing was used by Osama bin Laden in a video in which he sought support for his network of murderers.

In one segment, men are seen carrying rifles and chanting praise to Allah “who made us victorious the day we destroyed the ship on the sea.” In another, children, dressed in military fatigues and carrying rifles, are being indoctrinated in how to become full-fledged Islamic screwballs.

Marc Nieto, 24, an Engineman 2nd Class, was only two weeks away from completing his six-year tour of duty aboard the Cole when he was murdered by Bin Laden’s thugs.

His father, Jesse, a 25-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, has been working since 1994 as a civilian employee at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.

In 2001, Jesse Nieto began displaying various decals on the privately-owned vehicle he drove to work each day. Their twofold purpose, he says, was to honor his son and express his own personal views regarding Islam and terrorism.

Among the conventional decals were a gold star, a combat ribbon, and messages that read “REMEMBER THE COLE, 12 Oct. 2000,” and “WE DIED, THEY REJOICED.”

Three other, controversial decals were the subject of a lawsuit that was decided last week by a gutsy federal court judge. One stated, “ISLAM = TERRORISM”; another showed a picture of Calvin, from the Calvin and Hobbes cartoon, urinating on a cartoon illustration of the Islamic prophet Mohammed; and a third was of the American Flag with the words “Disgrace My Countries [sic] Flag And I will [defecate] on your Quran.”

On July 31, 2008, Nieto was ordered to remove these three decals from his vehicle by the camp’s deputy inspector. When he refused, military police cited him for violating a base traffic regulation which prohibits the display of “extremist, indecent, sexist or racist messages” on motor vehicles.

Following a hearing at the base’s traffic court, Nieto was escorted to his vehicle where he was forced to remove the three decals.
Subsequently, however, he added another decal, this one depicting an Islamic crescent moon and star with a diagonal line superimposed upon them and the words “No Quarter” and “Islamic Terrorist.”

As a consequence, Nieto was ordered to remove every decal from his car. When he refused to do so, he was ordered to take his vehicle off the base and keep it away from any other federal installation until the “offensive stickers are removed from it.”
THE LAWSUIT



Instead, Nieto initiated a federal lawsuit against the commanding officer of Camp Lejeune and its Traffic Court magistrate. Represented by the Thomas More Law Center, he argued that he had a First Amendment right to express his political message through the decals.

The extent to which speech may be restricted on government property depends on the nature of the property. Regulatory power is greatest when, as in the case of Camp Lejeune, the property is not freely accessible by members of the public. In such instances, speech may be restricted as long as it is not done merely because the government disagrees with the speaker’s viewpoint.

At the court hearing, the military defendants admitted that pro-Islamic messages such as “Islam is Love” or “Islam is peace” would be permitted on the base.

Hence, it became clear to Senior U.S. District Court Judge Malcom J. Howard that Nieto’s speech was being restricted simply because officials disagreed with his message.

Put another way, while the prohibition against “extremist, indecent, sexist or racist messages” was neutral on its face, it was being applied in a discriminatory manner against Nieto.

While the military claimed that it was merely trying to prevent speech that might inflame the passions of others on the base, Judge Howard correctly noted that pro-Islamic messages carried that very same incendiary potential for people like Nieto and others at Camp Lejeune who share his view of Islam.

Although Judge Howard’s legal reasoning was impeccable, you can be sure that many other federal judges would have concocted some convoluted rationale to reach a contrary, politically correct result.

Howard, perhaps not so coincidentally, was appointed to the bench by President Reagan in 1988. Which proves once again that every presidential appointment to the judiciary has consequences for the country.

Political correctness may yet trump sound judicial reasoning here if the Obama administration pushes an appeal. Yet, for the moment, Jesse Nieto and, derivatively, his murdered son, have their victory because Judge Howard had the courage to apply the law faithfully.

Ponder that for a moment. Ponder the degree to which society has been subverted by political correctness that any judge should truly merit accolades just for deciding an issue even-handedly.

Attorney General Eric Holder has intervened in a federal conspiracy and murder trial to order prosecutors not to seek the death penalty for three El Salvadoran men who are illegal aliens.

The three robbed and shot Claros Luna on July 29, 2009, in Alexandria, Va., according to police. The crime occurred just a few miles from the Justice Department as Luna transported a prostitute from Maryland to Virginia, CNSNews reported.

The suspects, Eris Arguera, Alcides Umana, and Adolfo Amaya Portillo, are admitted members of the MS-13 gang – a large, organized gang with roots throughout Mexico and Latin America. Many federal officials consider it the most deadly trafficking organization in the region.

The three were indicted on Nov. 24 on federal racketeering and murder charges. It typically initiates members — young middle and high school students — by ordering them to target and kill innocent bystanders.

A Justice Department spokeswoman told CNSNews.com that the department would not comment on Holder’s decision not to seek the death penalty in the case.

CNSNews reported that, in a letter dated Feb. 3, 2010, Holder “authorized and directed” U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia Neal McBride “not to seek the death penalty against Alcides Umana, Adolfo Portillo, and Eris Ramon Arguera.”

McBride filed a corresponding document – Government’s Notice of Intent Not to Seek the Death Penalty – on Feb. 16.

Peter Carr, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Virginia, told CNSNews.com that Holder, as U.S. attorney general, makes death penalty decisions in federal cases. “The decision to pursue or not pursue the death penalty in a death-eligible case resides with the attorney general, not the U.S. attorney,” Carr said.

A group of small business owners in the Atlanta, Georgia area got together and have pooled their resources to start a Anti-Obama and his policies Billboard ad campaign! They started small and just in the Atlanta area, but have found so many folks across the country wanting to get involved and enlarge it, they have gone national.

Sorry I've been AWOL the last few days Pardners....

It ain't that my horse pulled up lame..... it's this damned PC that we ride in on! It has been sooooo slow... I am reminded of that great scene in 'The Outlaw Josey Wales', where the bad guy is holding his gun on Josey Wales (Eastwood of course) and says, "Alright, now I want you to pull them there two pistols out easy like, slow as 'lasses in January!"

Well, that's how this PC has been acting .......... Slow as (mo)'lasses in January'!! I de-installed a whole passel of 'freeware' registry cleaning programs, and that seems to have helped, but I may still have to take to the Doc's for a final tweaking......

California's last auto plant shuts its doors

Well, Well, Ahnold and his millions of flakes and nuts in the Golden state have managed to run off another major job producing industry. Rumor has it that if I rent a U-Haul truck to go to California, they'll durned near let me have it for free - just to get the truck there....... but if I want to rent one in Los Angeles to drive to Texas, they want both arms and a leg.... because they are in such short supply 'cause everyone is headed East...

Note the last line in this little news item - 'California is asking for a Federal Grant to help ease the impact of this factory closing.' That's our tax dollars, Pilgrims, and they want them to help ease the pain of their own stupidity!! Like my daddy used to say: "There oughtta be a law!"
