SCRANTON, Pa. - You can take Joe Biden out of Scranton - but you can't take Scranton out of Joe Biden.
The Democratic vice presidential nominee made a sentimental journey Monday, enjoying a backyard barbecue at his childhood home in this working-class city.
"This makes a lie of the famous book, 'You can never go home again.' We're home again," declared Biden, a six-term senator from Delaware. While Biden left Scranton decades ago, he said he's visited here often and always kept Scranton in his heart.

"This was a neighborhood, and the one thing you learned here is a promise made is a promise kept," he said.
Biden's remarks about Scranton and its salt-of-the-earth residents proved a sharp contrast to Barack Obama saying in the primary that struggling small-town Pennsylvanians are "bitter" and "cling" to guns and religion.
Former rival Hillary Clinton won this area and the State of Pennsylvania in the April primary.
After hearing the words 'my home, Scranton' come out of Smilin Joe's lips about 800 times since Obamanation named him Veep, I went to look at his personal bio on his own home website. Neither Scranton, nor Pennsylvania is mentioned, even in passing ;
Personal Information
Senator Biden grew up in New Castle County, Delaware. He graduated from the University of Delaware in 1965, and from the Syracuse University College of Law in 1968. Prior to his election to the Senate, Biden practiced law in Wilmington, Delaware and served on the New Castle County Council from 1970 to 1972.

This raises the question -- just how stupid does Bama' and Biden think the Pennsylvanian voters are? Sure doesn't speak well for their opinion of them, does it?
Gotta wonder how long before this paragraph is edited and Scranton mentioned on his home site page.
